Coimbatore: A manufacturing facility of branch of an Indian-made manufacturer of electronic products, including cell phones, has been set up at the Pollachi Mahalingam Engineering College campus.

VVDN reports that employment has been created for rural students. The opening ceremony of the branch of VVDN, a private company, was held at the Pollachi Mahalingam College of Engineering.

The ceremony was attended by Director Manickam of Mahalingam College of Engineering and several officials of the private company. During the launch, VVDN's head office was located in Delhi's Gurgaon, during an interview with company executives.

The company manufactures and exports a variety of electronic products, including CCTV cameras and data networking routers. The company is currently expanding its branches in various parts of Tamil Nadu. Launched at the Pollachi Mahalingam College of Engineering, the company's branch offers employment to more than 300 engineering graduates. At present, major raw materials, including spare parts for the manufacture of electronic goods such as cameras and cell phones, have been procured and manufactured by Chinese companies. Currently the company is producing and marketing Indian-made electronics across India. In addition, their products also are exported to countries such as the United States and Europe.

Job opportunities will be created here for engineering and diploma students in Tamil Nadu by manufacturing and marketing all types of electronic products made in India. It is said to provide employment to thousands of engineering graduates, especially in rural areas.
