Sholayar dam is at its full capacity of 165 ft for over 30 days in Valparai
Coimbatore:With heavy rains lashing Valparai area of Coimbatore district last week, locals and tea plantation workers are overjoyed.
The heavy rains have also caused rivers to overflow and Sholayar dam has now reached its full capacity of 165 ft. The water level in the dam is 1154 cubic ft. per sec and the water level of the dam is 3290 cubic ft. The height of the dam is 165 ft. and water discharge from the dam is 1215 cubic ft. of water. The water level of the dam has remained the same for more than 30 days now.
