Police have registered a case and arrested Sabapathy and Selva Karuppaiya, both members of the transport company. 4,000 liters of biodiesel in their tanker truck was confiscated. The Pollachi Civil Material Smuggling Prevention Unit was handed over to the police for further investigation into the biodiesel that is used only in the biodiesel industry. It has been revealed that it is being smuggled from Mumbai in a tanker truck and used for the operation of lorries as it is 15 rupees cheaper than diesel.
