Coimbatore: Public are in fear due to the ongoing theft in Peelamedu, Coimbatore. Robbers looted the gold jewelry and silverware by breaking into a medical college professor's house.
POlice said, "Senthilkumar (45) is from Kumutham nagar in Cheran Ma nagar, Peelamedu, Coimbatore. He has been living at the above address for the last four months. He is currently working as a Senior Assistant Professor at Coimbatore Medical College. He locked the house on August 5th and went to Ahmedabad with his family in connection with his daughter’s college admission.
When he came back home yesterday, the front door lock of the house was broken. He was shocked to see it and upon entering, it was revealed that 14 sovereigns of jewellery and silverware had been stolen from the wardrobe. Senthilkumar lodged a complaint with the Peelamedu Crime Branch Police. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
