The meeting was chaired by the Tamil Nadu Information Minister MP Saminathan. Adi Dravidar Welfare Minister Kayalvizhi Selvaraj, DMK Environment Wing Secretary Shiv Sena General and many party executives were present.
During the meeting, Information Minister MP Saminathan urged everyone to commemorate the third death anniversary of former Chief Minister Karunanidhi in a simple manner at their homes. He further said that the DMK government was facing the challenge of battling and curbing the spread of Covid-19 and with the Tamil Nadu Government taking complete charge of the prevailing situation, it is commendable that M K Stalin has thus far handled the spread of Covid-19 in an efficient manner.
"At the same time, some members of the public are indifferent and talk ill of the government without fully complying with the curfew restrictions announced by the Government. This has led to cases not decreasing in certain areas and hence we are compelled to make every effort and we advise the DMK members to involve themselves in the task of eradicating Covid-19 completely," opined MP Saminathan.
