3rd anniversary commemoration by setting up a bronze statue of the late artist Karunanidhi near Kinathukadavu Coimbatore
Coimbatore: A bronze statue of the late Kalaiganar Karunanidhi was erected at Thamaraikulam near Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore and the 3rd anniversary was observed. Nallatipalayam Panchayat President Karthika Kumaresan and DMK Branch Secretary Kumaresan planned to erect a bronze statue of former Chief Minister Kalaignar Karunanidhi at Thamaraikulam near Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore district.
He had already bought a bronze statue of Kalaignar Karunanidhi weighing 20 kg and kept it in his house. Panchayat President Karthika Kumaresan and members of the public paid homage to the bronze statue of former Chief Minister Karunanidhi at his residence in Thamaraikulam today as the permission to place the statue of Karunanidhi was not yet available.
The event was attended by many members of the public and DMK executives including Panchayat Council Vice President Karuppusamy, Senthil, Ramesh and Lakshmanan.
