TiE Coimbatore chapter invites applications for Enterperneur Mini-marathon

StartupStrides is a run organized by TiE in over 10 cities across the world to support the start-up ecosystem. This run is in sync with the theme of the first ever TiE Global Summit "A Million entrepreneurs NOW” is scheduled to be hosted on 16 and 17 December in the capital city. This 3-kilometer and 5-kilometer run is being organized by TiE Chapters across India and abroad. Coimbatore, is one of the cities that will host this run.

Commenting on the announcement, G. Karthikeyan, President of TiE Coimbatore, said, “StartupStrides is a very unique initiative that we’ve taken in order to let all those young entrepreneurs know that we are we them, with their ideas and with their vision to take their innovations up on the global map. The Mini Marathon is a wonderful opportunity to connect as entrepreneurs and create awareness on the Startup system. Coimbatore in its DNA is rich in entrepreneurial skills and as TiE we aim to add more power to it.

Anusha Ravi, the Event Chair and CEO of PARK Institutions, said, “Starting with a start-up is not as easy as it seems to be initially. It is no less than a marathon in itself. Therefore, with StartupStrides we wish to celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship in the country. The Global Summit this year is all about million entrepreneurs and their million dreams, NOW. I would like to take this opportunity to urge all the young and aspiring dreamers out there to come and join us for this interesting concept.”

StartupStrides will bring leaders, entrepreneurs, corporates, students, youngsters and runners together to show their support for the budding entrepreneurs and their new businesses. The run is focused towards connecting people from the ecosystem together with the aspirants to support and celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship.
