DMK party members protest against Stalin's arrest and demonetization.

Nation-wide protests and road rokos are being staged by all opposition parties condemning demonetisation of Rs.500 and Rs.1,000 denominations. In Tamil Nadu, all major political outfits like Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), Congress, left parties and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) parties have called for protests in several parts of the state.



Condemning the arrest of their leader and Youth Wing President M K Stalin for staging protest at Nungambakkam, this morning, DMK cadres and district heads of Coimbatore staged protest and raised slogans against the arrest and demonetization.

The protest was led by Former MLA of DMK Pongalur Palanisamy in front of the Coimbatore Government Hospital (GH). Police arrested the protestors including Ponaglur Palanisamy and cleared the situation.
