Coimbatore: As many as 2,500 vehicles have been impounded and more than 2,500 vehicles have been impounded in the Coimbatore suburbs, according to the Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police.

The public can report such activities to the Office of the Superintendent of Police. As Coimbatore district is on the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border, e-pass system is in place for persons coming to Tamil Nadu from Kerala via Coimbatore district.
Similarly coronavirus tests are mandatory to be allowed into the district on the order of the District Collector. For this purpose, check posts have been set up in the border areas by the Revenue Police and the Health Department and monitoring activities are being carried out', he said.
