Coimbatore: Following road widening work in Pollachi, the construction of the third roundtana at the Udumalai Road Chariot Station is underway in full swing.
Road widening work is being carried out at a cost of Rs. 30 crores to avoid traffic congestion in the central part of Pollachi city. The firstroundtana was set up at the Central bus station to allow traffic to pass without congestion. Similarly, a second roundtana was set up near the Coimbatore Road-Gandhi statue signal.
Work is now underway to set up a grand third roundtana on the Udumalai-Palladam link road in the Chariot Station area on the Pollachi-Udumalai National Highway. The roundtana has been set up with silop stones. Locals are delighted that vehicles are able to move around without any hindrance.
