Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian inspected isolated areas on Wednesday to check if the Coimbatore Corporation was providing basic amenities to the residents of isolated houses in the areas under the Eastern Zone.

Coimbatore Kalapatti, 34th Ward, Nehru Nagar East, Ilango Nagar Isolated House, 33rd Ward Isolated House on Pillaiyar Kovil Road were some of that areas that the Corporation Commissioner inspected to enquire whether essential items like groceries and vegetables were being made available.
The Corporation Commissioner also asked residents in isolated areas not to leave their homes until their isolation period was over. "Everyone in the house should have a medical examination and the house should be cleaned with disinfectant, both in the mornings and in the evenings," he advised.
In addition, health workers also went door-to-door to check the oxygen levels of residents in isolated areas, with a pulse oximeter. During the inspection, many officials were present including the Zonal Health Officer, Chandran.
