Coimbatore: Pedestrian and trolley traders in Pollachi have demanded for relief packages to tide over the Covid-19 second wave losses incurred in their businesses.

With complete curfew imposed in Tamil Nadu to control the spread of Covid-19 infections, small businesses have been paralyzed. Millions of low-income workers, especially day labourers and trolley traders have lost their income.

With credit crunch on the one hand and the amount invested in their businesses on the other, small traders are at a loss. Hence, they have demanded that a separate welfare center be set up for pedestrian and trolley traders which will provide appropriate relief packages.
