Patients treated at buses equipped with oxygen facility outside the Government Hospital in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: With beds overflowing with patients at Coimbatore Government Hospital, KGISL and Entrepreneurs Federation joined hands to provide two buses with oxygen facility for Coimbatore Government Hospital in order to treat patients awaiting their turn for admission into the hospital.
Oxygen cylinders are provided by Seva Gas. Each of these buses can treat 24 patients, with 12 people in each bus. Jayaram Govindarajan, Project Coordinator of the Entrepreneurs Federation, said, “Patients can be accommodated on this bus until a hospital bed is available. There is no need to suffer from lack of oxygen."
Coimbatore Government Hospital Dean, Dr. Nirmala said, “Patients will be treated at the hospital premises. When the oxygen level in the cylinders in the buses decrease, Seva Gas has agreed to refill the oxygen."
