Two private charities have donated two buses with oxygen facilities to the Coimbatore Government Hospital to benefit Covid-19 patients. The beds in Coimbatore Government Hospital are reported to be overflowing since the number of Covid-19 cases have been increasing with every passing day, in Coimbatore.

Covid patients who rush to Coimbatore Government Hospital for medical treatment are made to wait in ambulances till the time of admission. Of late, there has been an acute shortage of oxygen supply which has further agitated patients who await admission.

Meanwhile, the KGISL and the Federation of Entrepreneurs have jointly provided two buses with oxygen facilities to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for patients who await admisson at the gates of Government hospitals.

The Coimbatore Government Hospital Dean, Dr. Nirmala explained that the buses can treat 24 patients, with 12 in each bus. "When the oxygen level goes down in the cylinders, Seva Gas organization fills the oxygen level in the cylinders. Thebuses will be parked at the Coimbatore Government Hospital and patients awaiting admission will be treated before their beds are allocated.
