Karumbukkadai and Thondamuthur residents request for primary health care centre in their area
Coimbatore: DMK’s Karthikeya Sivasenathipathy environmental wing state secretary requested to the Health Minister for the long pending primary health care centre for Karumbukkadai and Thondamuthur residents. These areas have not been kept underdeveloped despite repeated pleas from the residents and much of it coming under Minister SP Velumani’s constituency.
Karumbukkadai and areas in and around Thondamuthur in Coimbatore are densely populated areas. The people of the area have to travel a few kilometers away from their area even for their basic medical facilities.

For the last 10 years, people in the area have been demanding that the government should set up a primary health center in their area and make medical facilities easily available to the people.
Stating the above reasons, Karthikeya Sivasenapathy wrote a letter stating, “Due to the current Covid-19 situation, we request the government to accept the demand of the people of the Karumbukkadai and set up a primary health center there for the benefit of the people.”
