Rural Welfare Director also stated that new staff will soon be appointed to alleviate the shortage of medical personnel at the Pollachi Government Hospital.
Coimbatore: The Pollachi Government Hospital was upgraded as the District Chief Government Hospital in 2009 and has been public since then.
An inspection was held today at the Pollachi Government Hospital under the leadership of Dr. Gurunathan, Director of Medicine and Rural Welfare Department. He then addressed the media saying, "The newly-constructed Government Hospital in Pollachi will have 100 new beds with oxygen facilities from May 18 and a total of 200 beds will be provided with oxygen facilities.
Doctors, nurses and other medical workers will be given a proper training session and new staff will soon be appointed to alleviate the shortage of medical personnel," he added.
