Chief Minister M K Stalin earlier announced Rs. 2000 to be distributed to families as the first installment of Covid Care package announced by the Government.
Chennai: Since Tamil Nadu is one among the many states in the country which is reeling under the second wave of Covid-19, the newly elected DMK Government has announced a series of new schemes and measures are underway in full swing to tackle Covid-19 and simultaneously provide welfare to the public.
Earlier, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M K Stalin announced Rs. 4000 to be granted as part of the Covid Care package to every family across the state. The Government has now announced that a 13-item grocery package will be provided to about 2,11,12,798families in Tamil Nadu.
The items include Wheat flour (1kg), Salt (1kg), Rava (1kg), Sugar (500 gms), Urud Dhal (500 gms), Tamarind (200 gms), Bengal Gram Dal (250 gms), Mustard (100 gms), Cumin (100 gms), Turmeric Powder (100 gms), Chilly Powder (100 gms), Bathing Soap (1 Nos) and Washing Soap (1 Nos). This free Covid Care package will be distributed to the public on June 3rd to commemorate Kalaingar Karunanidhi's birth anniversary.
