Jupiter bridge near Valparai new bus stand turns into cattle barn due to neglect by municipal administration
Coimbatore: Jupiter Bridge is located near the Valparai New Bus Stand in Coimbatore district. Numerous vehicles pass through this bridge to various tea estates including Cinchona and Moodis. Herds of cattle plonk themselves on the bridge at night making the bridge seem more like a barn. Cattle dung is scattered not only across the bridge but all around the area emanating a stench that has become bothersome for passers-by.
People in the area complain that this could pose health risks in the present scenario of Covid infections that are spreading fast. Hence, the public and social activists have demanded that the municipal administration or the health department take immediate action to spruce up the bridge and to get rid of the cattle.
