Kottur police officials have filed a case against a man for attacking his estranged wife's alleged boyfriend.
Coimbatore: Kalimuthu (32) from Pongaliyur near Kottur, Pollachi who had been married to Nandhini was living separately in Kottur after a misunderstanding between the couple.
After their separation, Nandhini allegedly had a relationship with Vishnu Prasad (27). When Kalimuthu visited his estranged wife's house on Sunday, he saw Vishnu Prasad there which led to a quarrel between the two. In a flurry, Kalimuthu reportedly took a weapon near him and attacked Vishnu Prasad. Vishnu was injured in the attack but recovered after receiving medical treatment at the Kottur Government Hospital.
Vishnu Prasad thereafter filed a complaint with the Kottur police officials who have now filed a case against Kalimuthu and are investigating him further.
