Coimbatore: A policeman on duty in Selvapuram area caught a snake that had entered a residence in Coimbatore's Selvapuram area and relocated it back into the forest.
Babu, a constable at the Coimbatore Selvapuram police station was on security duty at Sastha Nagar in Selvapuram area on Tuesday morning. The area has a row of residential houses. On hearing people screaming suddenly, Babu spotted a snake inside a residence. He reportedly boldly approached the snake, handled it gracefully and caught the snake alive.
Babu then relocated the snake back into the woods. People who witnessed the swift action of the police official thanked him and lauded his presence of mind in trapping the snake alive.
