The second wave of Covid-19 pandemic has impacted across India, TamilNadu and especially Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: To combat the second wave of Covid-19 that is sweeping across India, especially in Coimbatore, a police officer from the Firearms Department donated his April salary towards the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to lead from the forefront to inspire people to give generously toward saving lives.
Babu (Officer Number 1018) who belongs to the 2008 batch of the Firearms Department in Coimbatore has been diligently performing his Covid-19 prevention duty every single day, and went one step further to help victims of the disease by donating his April salary of Rs. 34,474.
Babu reportedly withdrew his salary from an ATM, drew a DD for the same amount and submitted it to Coimbatore district SP Selvanagarathinam. The SP received the DD donated by the Firearms Department official and congratulated him for his noble act. He also urged everyone else to come forward to donate to help more Covid-19 victims.
