Coimbatore police officials have arrested a private sector employee for allegedly swindling Rs. 29.98 lakhs through the sale of flight tickets.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore police officials have arrested a private sector employee for allegedly swindling Rs. 29.98 lakhs through the sale of flight tickets.
Raju (32), a junior staff working at a travel agency operating at Sulur Kangeyampalayam in Coimbatore was working in that branch during the period September 2019 to July 2020. He reportedly sold air tickets worth Rs. 29.98 lakhs to customers but had failed to deposit the moeny into his company's account. Shankar, the General Manager of the company lodged a complaint with the Coimbatore District Crime Branch.
On further investigation, it was discovered that Raju had committed the fraud and hence police authorities arrested and imprisoned him.
