Both associations urged the CM to establish a separate ministry whereby 100 Industrial Estates should be developed.
Coimbatore: Railway Suppliers Association and the Coimbatore Compressor Industries Association (COCIA) requested CM M K Stalin in a letter for a separate ministry for small industries and 100 industrial estates.
In a letter to MK Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M Raveendran, President of the Coimbatore Compressor Industries Association and Surulivel, President of the Railway Suppliers Association said, “Congratulations on winning the State Assembly elections with huge support from the people of Tamil Nadu. Your schemes and plans are giving people a lot of hope.
Tamil Nadu has around 8 percent of the entire MSMEs in India. These MSMEs employ around 97 lakh workers. In your ministries, you have a separate ministry that overlooks rural MSMEs industries. We request for a separate ministry for Urban MSMEs and industries which contributes to the states production and economic growth.
By establishing a separate ministry, 100 Industrial Estates should be developed. A facility like the farmers market should be created for industrialists in important cities.
Action must also be taken to conduct the next World Investors Summit in Coimbatore. Because of that, companies belonging to the MSME sectors will get an international exposure which will also help them upgrade," they added.
