Thanking Chief Minister who helped women travel for free on government buses DMK Women's Wing Administrator served sweets to passengers
Coimbatore: Meena Jayakumar, Deputy Secretary, State Women's Wing Volunteers, DMK, thanked Chief Minister MK Stalin for helping women to travel free on government buses and distributed sweets to passengers.
Following the first signed order after the inauguration of Chief Minister MK Stalin, 369 ordinary buses were operating on 115 routes in Coimbatore district with a total to 447 buses with an additional 70 buses that are operated in Coimbatore city.
Women can travel on these 447 buses for free. To mark the occasion, DMK State Women's Wing Volunteer Under Secretary Meena Jayakumar traveled in buses and distributed sweets to the passengers.
She said, "I am happy that CM made this order, heartfelt thanks to him. This announcement will benefit everyone, including women going to work. Apart from this the Chief Minister has been implementing various schemes to reduce milk prices, provide relief, intensify prevention measures against Covid-19, provide quality treatment and uninterrupted oxygen supply. These actions have given a lot of confidence to the people. ”
