Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam women's wing thanks Stalin allowing women to travel for free in city buses
Coimbatore: The women's wing from Thanthai Periyar Dravida Kazhagam traveled free from the Coimbatore bus todayand returned to the Gandhipuram bus stand again.
The women's wing of Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam told, "The newly inaugurated DMK leader M.K. Stalin had issued an order that women could travel for free on local buses for the benefit of women as soon as they took office. Accordingly we have been traveling on city buses for free today. This has made all of us happy."
They added, "And women from poor simple middle class families carry their family responsibilities and go for jobs to earn Rs. 8,000 and Rs. 10,000. Considerable amount of salary is spent on tickets. Newly-appointed DMK leader M.K. Stalin ordered that city buses be free for women is in the best interests of the family women involved in private companies and businesses in the Coimbatore district.
So we have to thank DMK leader M.K. Stalin on behalf of the women's wing of Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam.
