Coimbatore: Kamal said the newly formed Stalin-led government should regulate coronavirus treatment fees and declare uniform fees across the state.
Makkal Needhi Maiam leader Kamal's in a statement said, "Coronavirus infection is increasing day by day and hospitals are overflowing. Taking advantage of the disaster crisis, some private hospitals are operating mercilessly. They charge between Rs 1,500 and Rs 8,000 for a 'CT scan' to find out the extent of the lung infection.
RTPCR charges are ranged at Rs 3,000 to Rs 10,000 per test. The new government should intervene and regulate the cost of coronavirus treatment. The fees of all private hospitals should, uniformly, be fixed by the Government."
