TN Govt. exempts differently-abled employees from attending office due to COVID-19 surge
Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Government has exempted its differently-abled employees from attending office, following the surge in Covid -19 cases in the State.
The Chief Secretary of the Differently-abled Welfare Department, Rajiv Ranjan stated in a press release that, "The differently-abled employees need not come to the office from May 6 to June 20."
Members of various organisations of differently-abled employees thanked the Tamil Nadu Government for the exemption. The TN Government has already issued a new set of restrictions that is being implemented from 4 am today till 4 am May 20. The new Government restrictions specify that only 50 percent of employees can work from private and government offices.
