Police impose fines on shops in Tirupur for failing to down shutters at 12 noon as per new Covid restrictions
Tirupur: The Central and State governments are stringently enforcing various Covid restrictions to prevent the spread of the virus. coronavirus.
In line with the new restrictions, large shops and shopping malls of 3,000 sq.ft and above, right across Tamil Nadu have already been banned from doing business. All grocery stores, as well as all shops without refrigeration facilities were also instructed to only operate from 6 am to 12 noon, as of today.

Following this, all shops in Tirupur were to close at 12 noon but police found some shops still open past the given deadline and hence fined them for violating Government orders.
