AIADMK party has lost the 2021 state assembly elections to DMK.
Coimbatore: AIADMK's Tamilnadu Youth Brigade Deputy Secretary Dr RCM Vishnu Prabhu quits party. He was from Coimbatore and was elevated in the party out of the blue by late chief J Jayalalitha.
In his resignation letter he said, "I am writing this letter as a homage to the party's guardian angel Puratchi Thalaivar and Puratchi Thalaivi Amma who introduced me to political life.
After the death of Puratchi Thalaivi Amma our party has now turned around to a different setup unlike how it was originally started and is now under the control of district ministers and their families.
Also zero opportunities are being given to the youth in the party. My part of being a people's volunteer has also been denied. Even after the failure of the party at the 2021 assembly elections, they haven't corrected their mistakes.
Henceforth, I am resigning with a heavy heart from my post of Party Youth and Young Women Pasarai Secretary post which was awarded to me by Puratchi Thalaivi Amma in 2010."
