The Nilgiris: Seven policemen escaped with injuries when a vehicle belonging to police officials who are involved in Maoist patrol, lost control in the Kinnakorai area on the Kerala border next to Manjur in the Nilgiris district.
The vehicle is said to have lost control while nearing the Thaisolai area.
10 Task Force personnel working in the Kinnakorai area on the border of the Nilgiris district were brought by van to the Ooty Government Hospital for Covid-19 examination. The van was driven by a policeman named Jayakumar.

The van stumbled and fell across the road while returning to the Thaisolai area. Arulappan, Saravanan, Mahendran, Nithiyananthan, Anparasan, Kathiravan, Rathinavel were injured in the head and limbs. Santosh, Mansoor and driver Jayakumar escaped unhurt. They were given first aid at a primary health center in the Thaisolai area.
They were later shifted to Manjur Government Hospital for further treatment. Seven policemen were shifted to Ooty Government Hospital for further treatment.
