BJP National Women's Wing Secretary, Vanathi Srinivasan who won the MLA seat at the Coimbatore South Constituency meets Coimbatore Collector.
Coimbatore: BJP National Women's Wing Secretary Vanathi Srinivasan contested and won the MLA seat in Coimbatore South Constituency. She met with the Coimbatore District Collector S Nagarajan in a formal meeting.
Briefing the media later, Vanathi said, “I met with the District Collector to know about the need for oxygen cylinders and vaccine requirements in Government and private hospitals since the second wave of Covid-19 is on the rise. He has told me about certain requirements. Since Tamil Nadu has the opportunity to produce oxygen, I am going to talk with the Central Minister. I have requested the District Collector to build a help center at the Collectorate since the people who need help for Covid-19 are facing issues. The Coimbatore Collector said he will address them shortly," she added.
"Also, similar to the incident at the Amma Unavagam in Chennai, many such incidents are being repeated by DMK party cadres. The newly-elected Government and party leaders should take necessary actions against their members. This must be made a big issue since a political response is needed. DMK has certain traits that must be stopped from the beginning. Only then, both the public and the Government will have a bond," opined Vanathi.
"I have filed a petition regarding people who are behind the incident when UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Coimbatore. There is no information about who is responsible for the incident, yet. How can I take action on someone who is not from my party. We do not have any involvement behind the attack. Anti-social elements have perpetrated such an incident to pin it on us," said Vanathi Srinivasan.
