Coimbatore: Coimbatore PF Zonal Office has been temporarily shut as staff in the Zonal Office tested positive for Covid-19.
More than 500 people including pensioners, shareholders and many others come to the PF Zonal Office at the Bala Sundaram Road in Coimbatore. Since the Covid-19 cases are rising they have asked not to come to the PF Zonal Office after April 30th.
Meanwhile, around 16 staff at the Coimbatore PF Zonal Office had tested positive for Covid-19. This has been the reason behind the shutting down of the premises. When asked about this to the Public Relations officer said " Initially 9 staff tested positive for the virus. Now another 7 staff have tested positive. All of them are currently receiving treatment and hence the office is closed until further information.
All services can be done online, many came to offices without knowing about this. They were staying at the premises even after the guards said that it was closed citing Covid-19 cases."
