The second wave of Covid-19 has been sweeping rapidly across Pollachi and its surrounding areas.
Coimbatore: Health Department officials have announced that about 61 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in across Pollachi and its surrounding areas, in a single day.
Of the 61 people who tested positive in Pollachi on Friday, about 18 people were from the Pollachi town area. Meanwhile, about 12 people tested positive in the North Zone and 31 people tested positive in the South Zone areas.
The Health Department has been working on various preventive measures to tackle Covid-19 in affected areas. The Department of Health and the Department of Revenue are conducting various awareness programs to raise awareness among the public about the seriousness of Covid-19 infections in Pollachi.
