Some of the slogans raised during the protest included, "Give up the pursuit of profit and make life a priority. Everyone should be vaccinated. Let the rule that the affluent will live be abolished. Government should allow public sector companies to produce vaccines."

The Central Committee of the Democratic Youth Union of India has called for a nationwide demonstration demanding that their requests be met. Accordingly the Youth Federation in Coimbatore staged protests across the district in Irugur, Ganapathy, Sivanandapuram, Periyanaickenpalayam and other places.
Stalin Kumar, the District President of the Volleyball Association, executives including Secretary K S Kanagaraj and Sulur Taluk Secretary Balakrishnan participated in this protest in which all protesters adhered to Covid-19 restrictions.
