Ahead of the poll campaign deadline, Coimbatore North DMK candidate VM Shanmugasundaram goes door-to-door in his constituency.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore North DMK candidate VM Shanmugasundaram took part in the door- to door visits and campaigned for the final phase of the vote-gathering session.

Coimbatore North DMK candidate VM Shanmugasundaram today launched a hurricane campaign across the constituency. In the morning, he met the people at the Christian Church in Tiruvallur Nagar and collected votes.

He also toured across areas like Ganapathy. Ganapathy Kamatchi Amman Kovil street, 7th Ward Ganesh Layout, 41st Ward Railway Bridge, Vadavalli, Kalveerampalayam, Kannappa Nagar, Saibaba Colony, Kalaignar Nagar, Velandipalayam in 13th Ward to seek support.
Vadavalli Shanmugasundaram, who spoke to the crowd said that arrangements would be made to set up a library in the area. "I will set up a health centre. Roads will be constructed and action will be taken to reduce traffic congestion in the Velandipalayam area," he said.
With the victory of the election, VM Shanmugasundaram promised to provide the basic facilities for the Coimbatore North. "I will take action to pay the outstanding amount as soon as the DMK comes to power to those who have given land to Bharathiyar University. The MLA who won this constituency last time has jumped to the nearest constituency in a fear that he might lose," he added.
He concluded his campaign at Vadavalli today by 7 PM, adhering to the EC's instructions.
