4 members of the same family tested COVID-19 positive near Coimbatore, street sealed
Coimbatore: Four members of the same family were diagnosed with coronavirus infection in Annur near Coimbatore. Following this, the street was sealed and disinfection works are going on in the area.
Yesterday, Seven people from Annur were tested positive for coronavirus infection and the entire street was sealed.
In Annur municipality, on Rangayan Road, four people from the same family including the husband, wife, son and cousin, were confirmed to have coronavirus infection yesterday. Since then, the path from Main Road and Koothandavar Kovil Road to Rangayan Road was sealed.
Works have been intensified to spray disinfectant and bleaching powder in the area. Coronavirus tests were carried out on 15 people in the area. Seven residents, including three people in Thennampalayam Road and Kurukkilayampalayam and four from the same family, were confirmed to be COVID-19 positive yesterday.
Health officials in the area have camped there along with the doctors and are constantly engaged in testing and disinfection.
