Vanathi Srinivasan lauds Rajni for his award, says Kamal is immature

She met with the press fraternity today and spoke about Rajinikanth's achievement, UP CM Yogi Adityanath's visits and lack of women safety under DMK

Coimbatore: The Coimbatore South BJP candidate Vanathi Srinivasan met with the reporters today in the Gandhipuram area, Coimbatore. She congratulated actor Rajinikanth and said that he has made Tamil Nadu proud through his achievement in the film industry.

She added, "Although it's disappointing to see Rajanikanth giving up politics, the award has been rightly bestowed to him. On behalf of the BJP party, I congratulate Rajinikanth for his honour."

Vanathi Srinivasan also asked, "When Kamal Haasan has the memory to quote Thirukkuralai as an example, how can he forget MNM naming me "Thukkkada Politician'?. She also said, "In a video, we can see Kamal Haasan throwing the torchlight in frustration because a mic did not function properly. This act shows how immature Kamal is and how much he lacks political experience."

Vanathi also emphasized how he should serve people regardless of victory or failure in politics. "It is mandatory to work for the people's welfare and that is the basis of politics. 66-year-old 'Twitter Politician' needs to take practice before coming to politics," she said.

She then spoke about how the BJP party is always trying to maintain peace in Coimbatore city. "BJP is trying to follow peaceful methods here and we are the only party that works and does actions for people from all walks of life," she said.

The BJP candidate also called out the DMK party for doing dirty politics by frightening police and the general public. "They are inciting violence and we should not elect a party like this to power. It was during the DMK rule that the blasts in Coimbatore took place. DMK must apologize for it. Also, why hasn't anyone taken actions against Udayanidhi Stalin and Dindigul Leone for their derogatory speech on women?" she questioned at the meet.

Vanathi Srinivasan also said that the recent incident of stones being thrown on a shop in Coimbatore was a minor issue and asked about the people who blew up such issues. Later, she answered to why the AIADMK members did not receive UP CM Yogi Adityanath in Coimbatore. "Since BJP is contesting from Coimbatore South constituency, Yogi Adityanath was welcomed by BJP party members and there is nothing more to it."
