Coimbatore: Dr Varadharajan, who took part in campaigning today is contesting on behalf of DMK from the Pollachi assembly constituency in the 2021 elections.
He has been visiting villages and engaging in intense vote-gathering rallies. A large number of women in Panikampatti near Pollachi today welcomed Dr Varadharajan. They paid their respects by welcoming him cheerfully with music and 'aarti'. The members of DMK also distributed leaflets containing DMK's election manifesto to the public.
Dr Varadharajan then said, "Wherever I go, I am being told about the discontent that people have towards the AIADMK government. Basic amenities like toilets, free housing and sewage facilities are not provided, especially in rural areas."
He also said that all the needs of the people will be met once the DMK comes to power. Dr Varadharajan urged the public to make DMK with a majority.
Along with Dr Varadharajan, DMK North Secretary Marudhavel was present at the campaign today. The elections in TN are scheduled to take place on April 6, 2021.
