The Coimbatore South constituency candidate Vanathi Srinivasan met with the journalists at the BJP election office in Coimbatore.

Coimbatore: Coimbatore South constituency candidate Vanathi Srinivasan met with the journalists at the BJP election office in Coimbatore today.

During the meeting, Vanathi Srinivasan conveyed her wishes to Rajinikanth for his nomination for Dada Saheb Phalke Award. "The Central Government has announced the Dada Saheb Phalke Award for Rajinikanth in recognition of his achievements in the Indian film industry. We are pleased to announce that the award has been given to the appropriate person and we extend our congratulations," she commented.

Vanathi Srinivasan also said, "Kamal Haasan, who spoke on the example of Thirukural commented on me and did not remember it. Politics is about accepting and serving the public even if you win or lose. That maturity has not yet come to Kamal Haasan, he definitely has to train longer in politics."

She also spoke to the media that the DMK party is creating fear in the minds of people along with its alliance parties who are causing communal issues. Vanathi also pointed out that DMK is spreading fake propaganda by accusing that the BJP party is against the minorities.

Vanathi then questioned the 'Twitter Politician' Kamal Haasan on his role in solving people's issues so far. She criticised him and said, "I have worked hard to solve many problems in Coimbatore district. Whether I win or lose in politics, I will always be on the field with the people."

"The BJP has been a government for all sections of the people. The allegation that minorities are affected by the BJP rule has been denied by those communities. It is the women from the minority community who realize this and support the BJP. DMK is not taking any actions on its party members who make slanderous statements about women. But the BJP party respects women and fights to protect their rights," said Vanathi to the press.

She has also told that she has filed a complaint against the people who are spreading false accusations videos about her on social media. "I hope appropriate actions will be taken on this complaint, she said.

BJP Candidate Vanathi Srinivasan is contesting from Coimbatore South constituency in the upcoming elections.
