Coimbatore: BJP party's National Women's Wing President Vanathi Srinivasan is contesting in the Coimbatore South Constituency. Her husband Advocate Srinivasan has filed a defamation complaint with the Coimbatore Police Commissioner regarding a slanderous video that is being shared.
In the complaint petition Srinivasan said: "I am practicing as a lawyer at the Madras High Court. My wife Vanathi Srinivasan is contesting in the assembly elections on behalf of BJP. In this situation, the BJP's winning chance is going up and in an intention to destroy that, someone has been posting defaming videos on Facebook.
The video was posted depicting me and my wife and my wife's reputation badly. I was shocked to see that. Therefore, I urge you to take immediate action against the person who posted such videos during the elections."
