Work in progress to affix symbols on EVMs in Pollachi Constituency
Coimbatore: There are 318 polling stations in the Pollachi Assembly constituency. EVMand VPAD equipment required for polling are kept safely at a private college in Palakkad Road. Today the room where the voting machines were kept was opened in the presence of the political party agents.
The work to affix the symbols of the political parties and the names of the candidates on the voting machines was started today.
Pollachi Assembly constituency candidate Deputy Speaker Pollachi Jayaraman cast a sample vote in the electronic machine in the presence of the Election Officer Vaidyanathan. Following him, other executives voted for the DMK in sample voting.
The 2021 TN Assembly elections are scheduled to happen on April 6, 2021.
