Coimbatore: Police are searching for the person who threw the body of a male infant in a temple toilet near Coimbatore.
A body of a male infant was found in the toilet of the Coimbatore Eachanari temple last evening. Devotees who visited the temple informed the temple administration after discovering the corpse.
The Podanur police have registered a case and are investigating. The infant's body was bleeding and was thrown in the women toilet. The body was handed over to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for autopsy.
Investigations have revealed to speculation that a pregnant woman may have had labour pains when she came to the temple and the baby may have been born dead when she went to the bathroom. Police said that she may have hidden these details and left the temple without anyone knowing.
