Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visits Coimbatore: Bomb experts inspect areas
Coimbatore: This afternoon, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Coimbatore to campaign in support of BJP candidate Vanathi Srinivasan. She is contesting from the Coimbatore South constituency.
CM Yogi Adityanath was given a special welcome on behalf of the BJP party at the Coimbatore airport.
From there, the BJP members rallied in two-wheelers to the campaign stage.
CM Yogi Adityanath participated in the rally that passed through Coimbatore Town Hall, Clock Tower areas where police have made strict security arrangements.
Shops in the area were ordered to close temporarily. Inspection to check for bombs was carried out by bomb experts on shops and roadsides in the area.
Police negotiated with the Islamist organization that tried to stage a protest against Yogi Adityanath in the Coimbatore town hall area who later disbanded.
It is to be noted that heavy police security arrangements have been made on the main streets of Coimbatore following the arrival of Yogi Adityanath.
