Minister S P Velumani's son Vikash Velumani stages a protest along with party cadres against DMK Deputy General Secretary and MP A Raja
Coimbatore: AIADMK members staged a protest in Coimbatore's Sugunapuram area, with Vikash, the son of Tamil Nadu Home Minister S P Velumani directly leading the protest.
"DMK Former Minister A Raja has used obscene language to insult our CM. This has caused a stir among the people of Tamil Nadu. Our CM's mother has raised her son into a self-sufficient, good-natured, hard-working farmer. It is unacceptable that A Raja has spoken insultingly of such a proud mother. our CM's mother Thavusayammal cannot be replaced even by a thousand Karunanidhis. The late former Chief Minister Karunanidhi has raised one son as a rowdy and another as a dummy. He has hidden his son without saying who he is. And the people of Tamil Nadu will not forgive Raja's words," slammed Vikash in a tirade against MP A Raja.
Earlier in the day, AIADMK members set fire to an effigy of MP A Raja during the protest. This led to unrest in the area.
