With the Tamil Nadu assembly elections fast approaching, candidates and party members are seen fiercely campaigning while those who have been roped in for support are seen passing sleazy comments on other parties and their leaders.

Days after DMK’s MP A Raja’s comment on Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy drew flak, the spokesperson for AIADMK, actress Vindhya made a comment on Ex Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M Karunanidhi while Vindhya campaigning for PRG Arunkumar in Sivanandhapuram 13th ward in Kavundampalayam constituency.

"M Karunanidhi could have had an Oscar award for deceiving people and yet could not do that for long since the people of Tamil Nadu became aware soon enough and were not deceived all the time easily. But, his son, M K Stalin also thinks he can do the same and come to power as Chief Minister which is not possible in Tamil Nadu," she added.

Vindhya went on to add that issues like Jallikattu, Sri Lanka-Tamil genocide, NEET are all due to DMK and hence it would be better to believe thieves rather than DMK. "After the period of our Iron Lady, J Jayalalitha, there has been no 'katta' panchayat, no rowdyism and women safety has been ensured," reiterated Vindhya.

Coming down hard on Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of DMK leader M K Stalin, Vindhya said even his grandfather M Karunanidhi did not believe Stalin was cut out for the post of Chief Minister but how come Udhayanidhi thinks he could make that possible with his acting skills by just claiming that being the son of M Karunanidhi qualified M K Stalin to become CM.

"They have run out of money and commissions from corporates which is why they are now coming door-to-door for votes to come to power. Don’t believe them but just think of our ex CM J Jayalalithaa who overcame all her problems single-handedly. So vote wisely and vote for PRG Arunkumar," she added.

Vindhya further assured the people that if they vote for PRG Arunkumar, he will still arrive at their doorsteps very often to provide them with washing machines, Rs. 2000 pension, Rs. 1500 for housewives and education loan waivers.
