Coimbatore: Coimbatore North DMK candidate Vadavalli Shanmugasundaram collected votes for the Rising Sun symbol in the areas of Veerakeralam, Maniyakkara Office, Tauta Nagar, Maharani Avenue, Siddhi Vinayagar Colony, Anna Nagar, Attanur and Sundapalayam.
Wherever he went the public gave him a warm welcome and the area women took Aarathi and gave a special welcome.
Shanmugasundaram then said: "There is a drinking water problem in Veerakeralam area. The drinking water problem will be solved first when I win the elections.
