Coimbatore: A campaign was organised today to support DMK led alliance candidate Arumugam in Valparai. Ex MLA Kovai Thangam had come to collect votes for the DMK alliance.
Former DMK Minister Pongalur Palanichamy and former Valparai MLA Kovai Thangam were present at the campaign meeting held at the Valparai Assembly constituency in Coimbatore today to collect votes for CPI candidate Arumugam.
While talking, Kovai Thangam suddenly had a bout of low sugar and took a break.
Following this, the volunteers lifted him on their shoulders and drove him to Pollachi Road. This created commotion in the area for sometime.
Arul Prakash son of Kovai Thangam said that the Ex MLA is doing well now and that he had to resr due to low sugar level and also said that his father will participate in the campaign at the Kottur area today to collect votes. He is currently campaigning in Kottur.
