Thondamuthur Constituency candidate Karthikeya Sivasenapathy apologises for Leonie's distasteful remarks on women

DMK's Propaganda Secretary Dindigul i Leoni recently received a lot of hate for his distasteful remarks on women and their bodies.

Coimbatore: Dindigul I Leoni, who recently took part in a campaign to support DMK candidate Karthikeya Sivasenapathy in the Thondamuthur constituency, commented, "Women have lost their body shape after consuming the milk of foreign cows, they have become fat like balloons," which sparked controversy.

Following that, Dindigul I Leoni also made a superficial statement saying "There are a wide variety of cattle. Women and children who have stopped drinking the milk of country cows have become huge after drinking the milk of foreign Jersey cows. Earlier, women resembled to number 8 and were able to carry their babies on their hips, but now they look like barrels."

Today, DMK Thondamuthur candidate Karthikeya Sivasenapathy expressed his regret and sincere apologies to the public for this incident.

Karthikeya Sivasenapathy is actually conserving and breeding native cows in his premises. When Leoni made an attempt to highlight the use of native cows, he expressed his thoughts in a very degrading manner. His posture and his actions were also physically criticizing women's bodies.

DMK MP Kanimozhi tweeted about this incident but in an indirect way. " Whoever the political leaders are, it is reprehensible to insult and criticize women personally. It will be only good for the community if everyone keeps this in mind. This is the social justice desired by the Dravidian movement and Periyar." She said in her tweet.

However, it is not very clear if Kanimozhi's tweet was directed to Dindigul Leoni or for A Raja, who recently sparked controversy by talking about Edappadi K Palanisamy's birth.
