We are sanitary workers who have come to rehabilitate Tamil Nadu: Kamal Haasan during campaign

Coimbatore: Kamal Haasan, President of Makkal Neethi Maiam, campaigned throughout the Singanallur constituency in support of Singanallur candidate Dr. R. Mahendran. He campaigned in Sowripalayam, Uppilipalayam, Neelikonampalayam, Ondiputhur and Singanallur Karumbukkadai Ground in Singanallur constituency.

In his speech he said,

We have listed all the problems in the constituency. Candidates have kept their list of problems in each constituency in which they are contesting. He promised that if they win, we will rectify all the grievances.

Political is not a gutter<\b>

They say politics is a sewer but how can politics be a sewer? All the leaders I grew up with were in politics.

Parties that deceive people in the name of freebies<\b>

Existing parties provide goods to the people in the name of freebies from the people's tax money, this situation must be changed. Our goal is to achieve this.

On the path of development<\b>

China was in a very bad state 35 years ago but those people took that country on a path of development. Similarly, if we wish we can take Tamil Nadu on the path of development.

We trust people <\b>

Parties steeped in corruption keep people in poverty so that our most important task is to dismantle it so that they can benefit further from corruption. We make plans only by trusting people and we hope people will not deceive us.

I go by helicopter for serving the public<\b>

They make fun of me for going by helicopter but I go by helicopter just for the service of the people. The Chief Minister went by helicopter to see the people from close quarters during times of calamity. But, I do not that.

I have been a star in cinema till now and I want to make a difference in every home. Give me a chance and I shall give the whole experiences of my life is for the benefit of the people. The people are my strongest ally.

KonguRegion - Fortress of Corruption <\b>

The Kongu Zone is said to be the stronghold of corruption and we will destroy it. We expect people to join hands with us to eradicate corruption. We will make Tamil Nadu a corruption free state.

Corrupt MLAs will be removed <\b>

They are constantly dumping opinions in the name of opinion polls. Support us and break their prediction. There will be no compromise and MLAs will be expelled from the party if the MLAs in my party do not do the job properly.

You may not have easily seen the constituency MLAs so far but I guarantee you will be able to see our MLAs more often if we win.

Politics is our duty<\b>

None of our party members are politically educated but we know what politics is and we have traveled in it for 40 years. Politics is our duty not our profession, we will do our duty better.

Following that, he named the children at Uppilipalayam and Singanallur Karumbukadai Ground. When these children grow up they should be able to live a very happy life without any problems and it is our duty to create such society.
