Leopards are often spotted along with cubs in and around Valparai, Coimbatore.

Valparai has lately been witnessing a spurt of wildlife movement. Leopards with cubs have been spotted in and around Valparai, Coimbatore.
On Thursday, two leopard cubs suddenly sprung in front of a moving bus which was on its way from Valparai to Akkamalai estate. The incident occurred near Nadumalai Estate. The driver immediately stopped the bus just in time to avoid hurting the leopard cubs.
It is reported that the leopard cubs were unable to climb across a mud wall. The cubs later strolled into a tea bush in the estate and the mother leopard which had been keeping an eye on its cubs jumped within seconds to follow her cubs.
Though passengers in the bus were shocked by the sudden interruption in their journey, the bus driverdrove away only after ensuring that the leopards were safely back in their natural habitat. News of the spotting of the leopards caused a stir in the area.
